WTE Companion was born in Hamburg. After years of bringing international talent into Germany, our team turned every hard-won lesson into a digital product that makes relocation effortless for everyone.
We've been close to this problem for years. Through Charkos Europe, we have brought skilled workers from outside the EU into German jobs end-to-end: recognition, visas, relocation, and everything in between.

A lawyer by training (Bucerius Law School), Fabian has spent the last decade building companies — starting with an award-winning IT recruitment agency he founded in 2016 and exited in 2019, followed by a fintech he ran with Jakob that grew to 40 people and 100,000 customers. Today, the brothers run Charkos Europe, bringing skilled workers from outside the EU into German jobs end-to-end — recruitment, qualification recognition, visa, relocation. WTE Companion is the natural extension of that work.
Jakob leads operations across the group. An economist by training (University of St. Gallen), he started in investment banking advising on international transactions before moving into digital businesses — building and launching multiple fintech products alongside Fabian. At Charkos Europe, he runs the operational engine behind every placement: recognition, visa, and relocation. At WTE Companion, he leads product and operations.
Design leader with 18+ years of experience, Fredrik has built and scaled 50+ person design teams inside unicorn tech companies. He approaches design with a business lens — bridging product, strategy, and growth. Having also founded and exited businesses, he brings a unique perspective on turning ideas into market successes.
Victor has led design across multiple industries, building products and experiences that engage and scale. Alongside product design, he brings expertise in marketing assets, motion design, and video production — offering a versatile approach to turning ideas into impact.
